Experience MexECO: Conservation & community placements

Experience Mex-ECO combines community and conservation projects with eco-friendly tours and activities and the opportunity to learn Spanish, providing a productive and enjoyable volunteer experience in Mexico. In each of our projects we work directly with community groups and charities, ensuring that our volunteers are placed where they are most needed at the time of their visit. With flexible start and finish dates and flexible project duration, our projects are suitable for students, career breakers and anyone else looking for a rewarding experience abroad.

Sea Turtle Conservation:

Help protect endangered sea turtles by patrolling a nesting beach, collecting nests and relocating them to a protected area, before releasing hatchlings to the sea.

Teaching English:

Assist local teachers in the classroom to help students of differing ages learn English, giving them more opportunities for employment in Mexico or abroad.

Special Education:

Assist Special Education teachers in classrooms, workshops and physiotherapy sessions. Volunteers must speak Spanish to participate in this project.
