Dates

Some of our projects run all year round and others only between specific months (see below). Within those months, volunteers are welcome to choose their own start and finish dates. Once the month(s) of travel have been decided, suggestions may be made by our staff as to a specific day, so as to coordinate the arrival of our volunteers.

The shortest stay we advertise is a period of one month, which allows time to learn the work involved and make a significant contribution towards your project. For those who have more time, two or three months are recommended. This way you really get a chance to settle into the work and take part in all the extra activities. Extra responsibilities come with time and if you are looking for work experience or academic research towards a degree or dissertation, then this is the option to take. For anyone who wishes to take part for less than a month, please contact us for more details.

Sea Turtle conservation:

June to February – nesting season for the olive ridley, black and leatherback turtles.

Community:

Teaching: Whole school year (please contact us to enquire about school holidays)

Fundraising with ‘Ayuda a los Niños’: December to February (preparations for and execution of fundraising events)

Learning Spanish:

If you are combining learning Spanish with one of our other projects, then please see above for the dates of those projects.

If you want to study Spanish without taking part in another project, then places are available all year round.

Academic Support:

If you are looking for academic support whilst on one of our projects, then please see above for the dates of those projects.

If you have an independent project, please contact us with the details so we can arrange the best time of year for your visit.
