Check out Next Season’s Work and Play Programme

The Work and Play Programme has been designed for those of you who want to have your cake and eat it!

If you are interested in taking part in one of our Conservation or Community Projects, and are just as interested in travelling with friends and doing all the ‘fun stuff’, then look no further. Experience MexECO now offers a programme that allows you and your friends to take part in one of our placements, learn Spanish, and take part in arranged extra activities, such as surfing lessons, kayaking, horse-riding and partying in Puerto Vallarta.

Projects run from four to six weeks, and accommodate groups of four to ten volunteers.

Itineraries are tailored for each trip, depending on the activities your group chooses to participate in, and prices include the following:

  • Pre-departure information: Information to prepare you and your friends for your trip to Mexico and what to expect when you get here, as well as extra activity options
  • Airport pickup and transfer: from Puerto Vallarta airport to accommodation in Puerto Vallarta, before moving onto initial project location
  • Accommodation throughout stay: Including host family or private accommodation on community projects and camping on conservation projects, as well as hotel accommodation during activity breaks
  • Food budget during project phase
  • 12 hour Spanish course: adapted to existing Spanish language ability of volunteers
  • Travel costs to location of activity breaks (flights not included)
  • Group meals: Including welcome meal, activity break meal and departure meal in Puerto Vallarta
  • Airport drop-off: Including transfer from project location to Puerto Vallarta airport

Prices do not include Extra Activities. A list of the optional extra activities and their prices will be sent out on application/enquiry for the Work and Play Programme, and are arranged through Experience MexECO Tours staff in Mexico.
