Here in Baja, the electricity goes off very frequently. Sometimes for as long as 2 days at a time. I got tired of losing a refrigerator/freezer full of food, and finally bought an EcoFlow 2000 inverter. Best investment ever. Now when no power, I can hook up fridge, internet, TV, keep devices going without worry. Recently, I saw they had some very good deals on them at Costco.

Hi,

Article 164 of Mexico’s Immigration Law includes this statement:
“Los titulares de las condiciones de estancia de visitante por razones humanitarias y de residente permanente cuentan implícitamente con permiso de trabajo.”

In relation to the permanent residency visa through the ‘family reunification’ route, can you confirm if the permanent residency visa includes the right to work? The information seems to contradict what is written here: https://embamex.sre.gob.mx/espana/?option=com_content&view=article&id=512

In reply to Javier A Mantilla. En CDMX trate de sacar mi INAPAM y me la Negaron por ser extranjero con residencia desde hace 59 años. Me sugieren que vaya a Reforma 51 a preguntar directamente en la oficina central, pero ya escribí al correo que está para contacto en la página del INAPAM y me confirma que las tarjetas para extranjeros están temporalmente canceladas

Great article and information, gracias. I live in Guadalajara and Dengue is definitely an issue. I had Dengue, several people I know had Dengue, and I don’t ever want it again. Lavender oil seems to be working well for me this year, and I will use mosquito nets too.

In reply to Javier A Mantilla. Mexico certainly has anti discrimination laws against foreign residents. The question is can you find a lawyer to bring your action and is it worth it? I am a lawyer and permanent resident who found it wasn't. But, as I get older and need an exit strategy, I am considering rocking the boat. They had me to spend all this money to get certain benefits then they deny them with a lie. I was told it would probably change under the new Presidenta. Apparently, it hasn't!
